In light of the ongoing controversy Prejean has canceled most of her speaking engagements.

This young woman was asked her opinion on a matter, she gave an answer that wasn't to their liking and the liberals have done their best to destroy her, for her beliefs. I know many say she is a hypocrite. After all no other teenage girls have ever made mistakes, (sic) especially liberal girls. Or maybe that is the problem. When they don't have any morals or values to be compared to, they can be as corrupt as ever and no one will ever give them grief over it, because they never claimed to stand for anything, in the first place.

Interestingly the person who sold these tapes for a hefty amount of money, wants to remain anonymous. LOL, he doesn’t have the cajones to make himself known.

If she was only seventeen when these tapes were made, does that mean Mr. Anonymous has sold child porn to TMZ, and TMZ bought them, so......

Maybe, her managers didn't know about our crime rate until after they booked the event.

If she made those tapes when she was 17, SHE should be arrested for manufacturing Child Porn and be listed as a Sex Offender!

After all, she knew how old she was while Allowing herself to be filmed.
Hypocritical beetch.
Kharma, gotta love it smile.gif

Yeah right, like she was the only teen girl who ever made questionable videos.

However, you have a valid point. If she is arrested, than so should the seller of the videos, the Miss USA people, because they have a copy, as well as TMZ, and anyone else who has a copy.

The hypocracy lies in the words she wrote in her new book concerning pornography and the manufacture of it... all the time knowing that she herself had produced child pornography.

Do you believe that people can't have the right to change their minds and realize they have made mistakes in the past?

Should she be condemned for the rest of her life and disallowed to speak her mind, because she made a mistake as a teen? Does that mean the teen who contacts a STD and than later speaks about unsafe sex is a hypocrite? Or the former druggie who talks about the dangers of drug abuse is also a hypocrite? I could go on, but won't. I think you get the point.

Sorry Harv, your logic reveals the hypocracy of the liberals who want to shut someone up and if they can't, they smear them, simply because they disagee.

How can You blame liberals for personal attacks? Public figures such as politicians are subject to incredible scrutiny. Whether it's Gary Hart, Bill Clinton, Rudy Giuliani or Palin, as long as we show interest in details of their personal lives, then it will be reported.

My guess is we will become more like Europe at some point. They are still interested in hearing dirt about their public figures, but don't see it as such a big deal. They will accept personal misconduct as they tend to view it as irrelevent.

what am i missing here? prejean was asked a loaded question by a hissing perez hilton, a gay gossipper by trade. she gave an honest answer.
the crowd went bonkers following hilton's lead. "outrageous" they thundered! "how dare she?" they sniffed.
was she supposed to lie to please that little turd? so she disagrees with hilton does that disqualify her? because of her opinion? isn't that exactly what we libs indict the wingers on the right for?
good lord, i am embarrassed by the herd mentality.

i support gay rights and gay marriage, but i am a tad disconcerted that she was practically run out of town on a rail for answering honestly.

has honesty been replaced by political correctness defined by the likes of that snotty hilton?

sorry i'll take honesty and integrity over the hurt fellings of a gay tongue wagger any day.

as for making a tape of her playing with herself when she was 17...good lord faux outrage from the left.
before i condemn that as porn i would like to watch it a few dozen times before i render a judgement.

The tape is not a big deal to me, but I do wonder how she can get away with that being in existence while other teens are being given the lifelong lable sexual predator for sending a picture of themselves over a cell phone. She should be subject to this horrible misjustice as much as any other or the laws changed. That would be a better subject for her talking tour.

What about the person who received the tapes, should they be charged for possession of child porn? That same person, who BTW, wants to remain anonymous, sold the tapes to TMZ. Should he be charged for distributing child porn and should TMZ be charged for receiving it?

BTW, She did say that she wants to use this experience to teach young girls, but I don't think she will be given the chance. She answered that question wrong and needs to be smeared and shut up.

I try to ignore sex scandals, excepting when their is rampant hypocrisy involved. Thus I was repulsed when Gingrich was leading the charge against President Clinton over an affair while he was doing a choir girl not his wife.

Carrie Prejean has made a career of exploiting her sexuality for financial gain. To me, the difference between a beauty contest and a strip show is only a matter of degree. And Ms Prejean has even gone so far as breast augmentation in pursuit of a career of sexual self-exploitation. I believe some kind of naughty video (don't tell me about content, I really don't want to know) fits quite well into this theme of self marketing based on sex.

Now I don't really care about her career choice. I've known strippers and even prostitutes who were honest hard working people. Yeah, you can get into discussion of patriarchy forcing women to sell their sexuality, but that is still not a judgement on individual women who chose to market what they have.

But for Ms Prejean to reinvent herself as some kind of icon of traditional values is simply laughable. Has she made public statements warning young blonde girls not to give in to the prevailing beauty myths and have breast augmentation to better to tantilize males in a beauty contest. Or is she just making hay over her very poorly expressed opposition to gay marraige.

I also have to mention that it does not speak well to the seriousness of those supposedly upholding "traditional values" that they would embrace this young woman as an icon purely based on her opposition to gay marraige.
