It’s been open for about a month, but Ali Akincilar’s Your Art Gallery, 336 N. Queen St., will be holding a grand opening tonight (Dec. 5, aka First Friday). Akincilar is selling art that he’s collected over 35 years — about 600 works of original art (in all media), including many prints and drawings by Xtian Newswanger. He has paintings by Gustav Courbet, Raoul Dufy, Thomas Moran and a host of others (including some that aren’t signed), from the late 19th through the 20th century. Hours are Tues.-Sat., 1-5 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Prices start at $5. Landscapes are prominent, but there are all kinds of subjects here — seascapes, abstracts, portraits, etc.
