Long schedules call for short films. Rumschpringe and the Theater of the Seventh Sister have teamed up for a Black Friday Weekend Bazaar at the Stahr Performing Arts Center, 438 N. Queen St.: “Merch, Music, Magic, Movies and More.” $6 per day or $11 for a weekend pass, come and go as you please. Hours are Friday, 1-8 p.m., Saturday, 12:30-8 p.m. and Sunday, 1-6 p.m. To be shown each day (at various times) are the 2008 “Rumschpringe: A Very Short Film Festival,” the 2003 “Zoetropolis: One Minute Film Festival” and Mary Haverstick’s 1991 short, “Lancaster County 2020.” Almar the Professional Idiot will perform (that’s the “Magic” part) and music will include the Reapers, Bludgeon, Matt Campbell and more. On Sunday, Dramability Works!, a theater group for kids with special needs, will present “Ugly Turkey” at 2 p.m. Also on Sunday, the 1927 film “Metropolis” will be shown with an original score performed live by the Reese Project at 4 p.m. Check the Rumschpringe Web site for a more complete schedule and more information on the groups involved, including information on the 2009 film fest.
