A benefit concert for Burma cyclone relief will be held 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Highland Presbyterian Church. Area singers and choral groups will perform Faure’s Requiem, the Dona Nobis Pacem from Bach’s Mass in B Minor and more. Simon Andrews, Highland’s director of music, will lead. More musical Presbyterians: The Lancaster Oratorio Society will perform 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at First Presbyterian Church. Works by Bach, Haydn, Beethoven and Stainer are on the program, as are Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Five Mystical Songs,” settings of poems by George Herbert, with baritones John Meeder and Kevin DePrefontaine. The concert is free, and the church is located at 140 E. Orange St., Lancaster.
