Opera at the movies

There’s a local person in the Metropolitan Opera’s production of “Hansel and Gretel” — Manheim Central High School graduate Matthew Kernisky, who plays an angel/waiter in the new production of Humperdinck’s work. The opera will be broadcast live 1 p.m. Tuesday at Penn Cinema through high-definition satellite transmission.
