Why were those yellow silhouettes jogging across the corner of Chestnut and Prince Streets on First Friday (Aug. 3)? 
The 13 “racers” (plus tortoise and hare) were promoting the Hands-on House Half Marathon, 5K and new Kids Fun Run. The races are Sept. 29; more information here. Curiously, no one was joining them; it was a warm evening, after all.
On the other hand, people were ready and willing to help out with the chalk art on the sidewalk near Art is Negotiable on Walnut Street. Go ahead, walk on it. It adds to the character!
