WXPN, the public radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, will soon be broadcasting in the Harrisburg-Lebanon-Lancaster-York area. (Or “HLLY” … Do people in Philly really call this area ”Hilly?”) See the station’s press release here, and a video announcement (with a slightly blurry map) here. The station has acquired WZXM 88.7, a Middletown radio station, and should begin broadcasting some time this summer, according to the press release. It’ll be good to have a new source of (in no particular order) indie rock, folk of all kinds, roots, world, pop, blues, children’s programming and a whole lot more than I can list here.
