Derailed, but still jammin’
July 30th, 2007 · No Comments
It was too bad that Old School Freight Train’s Sunday night concert in Long’s Park was brought to a screeching halt by a thunderstorm. The Charlottesville, Va., band did its best by avoiding songs mentioning rain, but nothing could halt the storm’s relentless onset. OSFT did get a chance to perform a few selections from […]

Casually classical: Midori at Mount Gretna
July 24th, 2007 · No Comments

The station has acquired WZXM 88.7, a Middletown radio station, and […]

July 9th, 2007 · No Comments
As downtown strollers sought rest on benches and walls and children played in the fountain, Lancaster’s own capoeiristas, Capuraginga, demonstrated the Brazilian martial arts-dance-music fusion at Binns Park Friday.

I see art people
July 7th, 2007 · No Comments
New galleries, new faces, new shows. Lancaster’s First Friday drew a big crowd last night, and, as always, there was far more than one person could take in on a single evening, and I’ll have more to write on Monday.
I started out a little off the beaten path, over at the Keystone Art & Culture […]
