And it’s a short trip

So Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize, and I haven’t been over to Drudge yet, but one can imagine the apoplexy.

I’ve no idea whether Obama “deserves” the prize, what the requirements are, etc. But we do know that this will drive the wingers right around the bend.

The progessive wingnuts are already trying to defend the award, because they know a tsunami is coming.

It's pretty much the equivilant of Sarah Palin winning the Nobel Prize for knowing what she reads.

At any rate, it always turns out to be a great day when I hear a good joke in the morning.

Hopefully Obama will live up to the award and actually create peace somewhere.

Did he end the war in Afghanistan yet?

I think the prize committee saw great promise in Obama's diplomatic efforts and wanted to reinforce that with reward. It's a complete contrast to the chickenhawks gone wild past and shows that indeed the world does like this kind of America much better.

Two key White House aides were both convinced they were being punked when they heard the news, reported ABC News' George Stephanopoulos.

"It's not April 1, is it?" one said.
