The Appalachian Trial in Argentina

June 24th, 2009 9:26 am · 0 comments

The saga of the errant South Carolina governor gets stranger and stranger. Now he surfaces and says, reports of him “hiking the Appalachians” are no longer operable - he was actually in Buenos Aires! By himself!

Caught a few stray moments of Fox News last night, where Hannity seemed to be parroting the official line - voiced here by Glenn Beck - that, move along, nothing to see here.

Really. I’m sure they’d feel that way if a ”Democrat” governor just up and disappeared, with fibs/misinformation about where he’d been. Right?

But conservatives of course will be resentful about this. How dare the media/liberals/anyone with a brain refuse to take Sanford at his word? How dare they try to figure out if he’s lying - and if he is, how dare they make that public!

More on this to come, for sure.
