Via Atrios - in one respect, this was inevitable:

State Rep. Bill DeWeese officially introduced his proposal yesterday to add table games to Pennsylvania’s casinos. Under the measure, casino operators would pay a $10 million fee up-front to inaugurate games such as blackjack, poker and craps at their currently slots-only facilities.

That’s pretty much full-fledged casino right there, isn’t it? It probably was only a matter of time.

That said, I certainly don’t oppose it, as the idea that Pennsylvania, with slots already licensed and in operation, would somehow get less moral if we allow table games is absurd. It will generate more revenue - and unfortunately, that’s the name of the game right now.
