I’m here five minutes and already I’ve got an e-mail from a winger correspondent informing me that Obama is “on the ropes” because Dick Cheney is telling Sean Hannity that torture works, and presumably we should torture even more people.
Never saw that one coming.

What's unprecedented is a former VP going around spewing venom about the sitting President in a way that could be construed as an attempt at official sabotage. I was particularly put off by his going to Israel and telling them not to trust Obama because he favors Palastinians. What a great way to help out future talks. You kind of get the impression that Cheney can't help himself and probably should have been put in a straight jacket ala Silence of the Lambs years ago. |
