I was wrong

Yesterday, in response to the story of 2 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW OMG WTF!!! I suggested that instead, we’d get a quarter-inch of snow and then freezing rain.

That was incorrect. Instead, we get NO snow. And now it’s sleeting.

Lamest winter ever.

This seems to be par for the course this year. Weathermen scare the crap out of us, people flock to the grocery store because of course in 2009 we will surely be stranded with no milk bread or eggs for days and now th biggest insult---the emergency broadcast system comes on Friday night with a winter storm warning that took up five full minutes of a show we were watching and by the time the broadcast was done we had missed a major portion of the plot and just turned it off. Now think back to the earthquake where no news could be found and people flooded 911. Why in this age of 24 hour weather channels does the emergency broadcast system need to announce a possible snow storm in the mdead of winter????? A tornado or sever thnder storm yes so people can take cover but snow. Come on!

Great journalistic abilities there, Gil. "Oh my G-d" and "What the Fu$k". Can't you come up with any better words in chat slang, to describe what you are attempting to say?

I think he was trying to be sarcastic making fun of how Lancastrians handle even the hint of snow. Plus the fact that everyone seemed so shocked 2-5 inches of snow in January and farm show week---shocking. Everyone grab the bread and milk. 2 inches, we will be snowbound for weeks!!! ohmy.gif

Well - you could always use the rum while watching the Eagles game today.
