Took years to climb the cliff; the plunge has happened in less than five months.
And it’s been so quick we haven’t really wrapped our heads around the lower prices yet. On the same page MSNBC reports this, they include a slideshow of political cartoons about the high price of gas.
And the problem here is that with oil and gas prices plummeting - there’s no urgency to weaning ourselves off foreign oil, is there? No need to trade in the hummer for something more fuel-efficient.
