Only in the addled conservative mind is it possible for people who merely want the same rights accorded to every other American to be fascists.
I don’t see where Teh Dreaded Gays are demanding that Americans change their beliefs around to accept that gay marriage is the same, morally, as regular old straight marriage. What they want is the same legal opportunities. Gingrich would have the oppressed be the oppressors. Well, of course - because it’s always conservatives who are the victims.

They've learned nothing from this election and why they really lost. They must still be stunned or something. He's misusing the term fascism, but I'm sure he's just looking for some negative word to throw on something he disgrees with. It doesn't really matter what the word actually means. Just about any negative word (i.e. code word for the evangelical base) will do it seems. Code words that are used to divide us. They don't learn quickly, do they? |
