Palin booed at Flyers game

Well, yeah. Philly fans booed Santa Claus, fer chrissakes.

DelawareOnline blogger Ryan Cormier notes that she was greeted by an “avalanche” of boos, whereupon the boos “were almost immediately drowned out by blaring, bombastic music”:

There is no doubt in my mind that that the music was ordered up to help tamp down what could have been an even more embarrassing moment.

Probably. But Palin’s 7-year-old daughter was with her here; no matter how much I might dislike Sarah Palin as a politician, it’s not cool that her daughter had to endure this. The kid didn’t do anything, the kid loves her mom and shouldn’t have to hear her mom take that kind of abuse.

with her popularity waning palin ought to have the common sense to leave the kids at home... shouldn't they be in school anyway?

That's what you get when you walk around Philly in a Rangers jersey. The dumb !profanity! should've known better. She got what she deserved.

She only brought the kids with her because she thought they would shield her from the "avalanche of boos" she ended up receiving.

Good for Flyer fans!

For all the division, hatred and fear she whips up on the campaign trail, as well as her consistent lying and distortion of facts, she deserves to get booed everywhere she goes.

WPVI reported it as "some boos, mostly cheers." I guess it's all in how someone perceives it. I didn't see her wearing a Rangers jersey in the video, but if she was wearing one earlier, I have to agree, that would not have been a smart choice. That would be like someone showing up at an Eagles game wearing a Dallas jersey.

Good number of protesters on the street outside her hotel, too.

Yeah. These are people who boo their own team if they're mad at them. That's part of the reason I think they're great. If you're not performing up to speed, they let you know it--no free ride from the fans.

Don't get me started on McNabb...crybaby. mad.gif That team is doomed until he and Andy Reid are gone, gone, gone. I don't even know why I care, because I hate football, but this really bothers me.

About a week ago, somebody shared an story about meeting Palin in a hotel elevator (with security guards) and seeing her in a Rangers jersey. The good person pointed out her error and swapped jerseys with her (for an Eagles jersey). ...I just looked and found a link:

Pfft. I think Lancaster needs to get its own house in order before we go casting aspersions on other cities. At the rate we're going, we'll outpace Philly in violent crime in no time at all.

I heard cheers and applause. It sort of tells a lot that up in the corner of the video it says, "vote Obama in November" ! laugh.gif This is scraping the barrel even for gil. biggrin.gif Gil, you must really believe that people on here are dumb.

I got into trouble with posters for cutting and pasting [and posting] a doctored picture the other night. Gil is cheered on for posting doctored information by one person who was bashing me. That one made excuses for gil and blamed Palin when she did nothing wrong. Now that tells me something.

Palin should have just said "Thanks, but no thanks" for that ceremonial puck drop. Of course, she probably would have shown up anyway. biggrin.gif

At least we aren't as bad as Atlanta yet where the cops are crooks.
