In Houston, a Texan protesting amnesty for illegal immigrants argues that anyone who can’t master English doesn’t deserve to live in America:

Doesn't a lot of our domestic oil come from Texas? This might cause the gas prices to increase.....

If we brought our troops home from Iraq we could line them up on the Mexican border and push south til we hit the canal and if we can't defend that border we should give up.

I think that would pretty well halve the population, at least, which would solve the overdevelopment problem.
