Unfair and unbalanced

Boy, when Chris Wallace - that being Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace - rips into the Fox and Friends crowd for their “excessive” and “somewhat distorting” commentary on the Wright-Obama thing, maybe the worm really is turning.

Fox News is ANYTHING but "fair and balanced".

That's why Fox News REPEATS and REPEATS and REPEATS and REPEATS and REPEATS "fair and balanced". They need to convince their viewers into believing they really are, in spite of everything they do that isn't.

Part of brainwashing (re-programing) is repeating something so often that people begin to believe it is true.

They have another motto too, "Fox-first in comedy" they use for their sitcoms. Maybe they should exchange the two, it would make much more sense.

I wonder how much they had to pay Chris Wallace to do that?

Or maybe those evil democrats in DC are starting to get to him and the kool-aid is wearing off. They'll probably call him back in to Fox headquarters for re-education ASAP and he'll give an on-air apology after he has been properly rehabilitated.

Republican presidential nominee John McCain is “proud” and “honored” to have received the endorsement of Reverend John Hagee who claimed that Hurricane Katrina was God’s judgement against homosexuality

All hurricanes are acts of God, because God controls the heavens. I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they are — were recipients of the judgment of God for that. The newspaper carried the story in our local area that was not carried nationally that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other Gay Pride parades. So I believe that the judgment of God is a very real thing. I know that there are people who demur from that, but I believe that the Bible teaches that when you violate the law of God, that God brings punishment sometimes before the day of judgment. And I believe that the Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans.

McCain wasn’t just proud to receive Hagee’s endorsement, McCain actively sought the endorsement of anti-gay Hagee.

In an interview that will appear in this Sunday’s New York Times Magazine, controversial televangelist Rev. John Hagee declares, “It’s true that [John] McCain’s campaign sought my endorsement.”

And John Hagee hates more than just the gays. Hagee had this to say about women:

Do you know the difference between a woman with PMS and a snarling Doberman pinscher? The answer is lipstick. Do you know the difference between a terrorist and a woman with PMS? You can negotiate with a terrorist.

And this to say about the Catholic Church:

Most readers will be shocked by the clear record of history linking Adolf Hitler and the Roman Catholic Church in a conspiracy to exterminate the Jews.

Hagee ain’t afraid to tell us how he really feels.

Now it is time for John McCain to do the same. Does John McCain believe that Hurricane Katrina was God’s judgement against homosexuality and that the Catholic Church is “a false cult system?”

Let’s hope that the traditional media gets over its love affair with the “straight talking” McCain to find out.

Thank you very much for raising this issue. I've given it a LOT of thought myself.

I've often wondered why the U.S. has been the way it has since the turn of the century. These issues include - but are not limited to - the endless war in Iraq, people dying prematurely because of inadequate health care, and the increasing level of hatred and intolerance. And of course Hurricane Katrina, as you mentioned.

I have become increasingly convinced that the United States of America is collectively being punished for its unrepentant sins. Under the "leadership" of an individual who repeatedly claims to be following the will of God, but is instead most certainly the "wolf in sheep's clothing" mentioned in Matthew 7:15, the U.S. has followed a direction that has been MOST CERTAINLY the opposite of what God's will is for all of us.

The only question that remains is this: how much longer will the U.S. continue to be punished for its ongoing sinfulness in the 21st century?

There has been more devastation in the world in the last thirty to forty years than the first half of the twentieth century. More mass murders, more crime and the perpetrators are getting more and more brazen and creative. Use to be you heard about someone being mudered two or three times a year. You are correct ! Weather does run in patterns and the patterns become more plentiful as well as more violent all the time.

But I wasn't just talking about weather. Please re-read my last post. Earthquakes in places where they have never been recorded before. Mass murders, criminals running rampant. More home invasions than ever before. Even small towns are beefing up their police force.

I've been alive for 62 years and have been all over the world as a career soldier. I have seen alot of changes in the world. The news reels are much more violent and depressing than when I was a young man .

To answer your question; Yes, I truly believe there is alot more to come.

I believe the world is coming apart at the seams because people no longer know how to nor have the inclination to join forces and help each other's cause.

And when I say "cause", I'm talking about famine, homelessness, dictatorships and repression, etc.

Yes, the media machine has brought alot more of it to the forefront but there is also more to bring to our attention than ever before.

If you think 9/11 was devastating, you're all in for major surprises in the future.

What is coming will make Osama "Yo mama" look like a guardian angel.

The shame of is that we can do something about it but our lackadaisical approach to everyday life has left us either complacent or just plain oblivious to it. So there are no plans to quell the dangers.

All of this is written in the bible. These are not deep dark secrets that are being witheld from us.

Why don't men have PMS becuase they act like that everyday.

Anyway. Do I know of a liberal news venue , Yes Democracy Now on Link TV and Free Speach TV

You make fun of the statements that Hagee made but where is the outrage for the hateful things he said and for McCains seeking his endorsement. Is it only Black Americans spewing hate that we concern ourselves with. Is it OK that Rush has been spewing hate for 2 decades spending 4 hours a day 5 days a week with only one topic how the Clintons and democrats are the Antichrist and his supporters.

Where is the outrage for the hateful things said in pulpits every Sunday about gays. That go way beyond calling homosexuality sinful but call for demonization of gays for all of societies ills. Pat Robertson is not the first conservative preacher to tie modern day tragedies to tolerance for gays. NO ONE cared about the God Hates Fags preacher until he started showing up a veterans funerals. No one cared when he was showing up a gay funerals with his God Awful signs. I remember when he showed up at the funeral of Mathew Shephard with Mathew is in hell now, Thank God for dead !profanity! signs.

We care about what Rev Wright had to say becuase we fear the power of Black Americans to disturb our comfort zone. Hate spewed by the powerful against the powerless we don't care about. The chance that a Black man might lead our country scares many who fear loosing traditional power of White Men.

We don't care about the hate filled things said about illegal aliens that they are source of neighborhood blight and crime. I am not in favor of illegal immegration but I see little point in demonizing them.

Now that you're geriatric, you may as well go ahead and marry. After menopause, women mellow out real well. Men go (more) senile, women mellow out, that's what a good (heterosexual) marriage is made of LOL

I guess the good homosexual marriage would be both men going senile or both women mellowing out.

Geriatric ???? Man I'm just gettin' started livin' !!!!!!!

I'm only 62 . They tell me I don't look a day over 45. I'm 6'2" tall, 205 lbs of solid muscle and still in pretty good physical condition. Still have all my hair (though it has begun to take on a lighter shade brown), and most of my teeth. Had angioplasty at 46 and can still run 5 miles a day.

I figure I've got about 5 more years till the wrinkles start to show up but right now I'm livin' large !! Once I hit 70, I'll probably slowdown to a crawl and then drop dead from exhaustion from jitterbuggin' at the lounge every Saturday night.

Oh, by the way, the women I'm dating are just starting to THINK about menopause. Still pretty feisty. I stop dating them when they come and start trying to redecorate my house. That nesting thing they do scares me.

Okay all youse old guys in Lancaster, PA, repeat after me: I'm not old, I feel great!

Get off my butt woman !! If you want the trash taken out, take it out yourself!!!

Didn't work huh? Back still hurts ??? Now she's really mad !!

Sorry guys, we gave it a try.

Oh one more thing. Break down the word men - o - pause. Sounds like they are fixin' to take a break from us and spend more time with the ladies.

Come to think of it......that's exactly what they do ..
