Cheney’s world

…With apologies to Think Progress

La la la la, la la la la, Cheney’s World

On his trip to Iraq today, Vice President Dick Cheney asserted there has been “phenomenal” improvements in security, hours before a suicide bomber killed at least 40 people. Cheney also asserted that Iraq has been a “successful endeavor.”

… la la la la, la la la la, Cheney’s World

Cheney even needed a complicated security routine and lots of bodyguards just to move around the Green Zone where Iraqi and US offices are. The heavily fortified Green Zone actually took incoming mortar fire on Monday, during Cheney’s visit there. If the Vice President of the United States can’t visit the most fortified place in Baghdad, the capital of the country he militarily occupies, without risking a mortar strike, then things are still not all the great. I don’t believe Gen. MacArthur in Tokyo suffered any similar humiliation.

Cheney loves his wingnuts… delusion too

More recently, a study commissioned by the Defense Department to look into the Iraq/al Qaeda ties “showed no connection between the two.” But Dick Cheney still isn’t convinced. Speaking at a press conference in Iraq today, Cheney shot down the new report. He acknowledged that — while no “operational link” has been found between Iraq and al Qaeda — it’s “pretty clear” there is a link…

During the press conference, Cheney again cited a throughly-debunked Weekly Standard article written by his own biographer Stephen Hayes as laying out the best case of an Iraq/al Qaeda connection. “It was the Weekly Standard that dealt with this subject,” Cheney said.

Though Cheney urged reporters to “go read the report,” reporters will have a difficult time doing that. According to ABC News, the new Pentagon report “won’t be emailed to reporters and it won’t be posted online.” So you’ll just have to take Dick Cheney’s word for it.

That’s Cheney’s World!

How do republicans define success,

Before the surge we had an intolerable level of violence. During the surge the level of violence went way up to whatever level is beyond intolerable. Now post surge we are right back to the same presurge level of violence look at the graphs of the level of violence in the papers it is the same as it was presurge. If you define sucess as having spent a lot of money to accomplish nothing as Bush/Cheney do then you can say mission accomplished.

Cheney is a modern neocon who can stand over a pile of cow poop deny its cow poop, scoop some up and smell it and deny its cow poop, taste it and still deny its cow poop and then walk right through and track up the whole house with cow poop still denying even that cow poop exists. Iraq is Cheneys cow poop.

The level of violence is declining, but somehow that's a bad thing. Hmmm.

The level of violence has returned to presurge levels thats a no change thing and not a good thing. Success is measured in improvement not staying the same.

See even when you are shown examples for a rational arguement you still don't listen anyway. So really who is the irrational one here Pericles??
