What was said, not what was done

Might explain a lot:

Instead, when confronted by his “Saudi” interrogators, Zubaydah showed no fear. Instead, according to the two U.S. intelligence sources that provided me the details, he seemed relieved. The man who had been reluctant to even confirm his identity to his U.S. captors, suddenly talked animatedly. He was happy to see them, he said, because he feared the Americans would kill him. He then asked his interrogators to call a senior member of the Saudi royal family. And Zubaydah provided a private home number and a cell phone number from memory. “He will tell you what to do,” Zubaydah assured them.

That man was Prince Ahmed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, one of King Fahd’s nephews, and the chairman of the largest Saudi publishing empire. Later, American investigators would determine that Prince Ahmed had been in the U.S. on 9/11.

<snip>

It would be nice to further investigate the men named by Zubaydah, but that is not possible. All four identified by Zubaydah are now dead. As for the three Saudi princes, the King’s 43-year-old nephew, Prince Ahmed, died of either a heart attack or blood clot, depending on which report you believe, after having liposuction in Riyadh’s top hospital; the second, 41-year-old Prince Sultan bin Faisal bin Turki al-Saud, died the following day in a one car accident, on his way to the funeral of Prince Ahmed; and one week later, the third Saudi prince named by Zubaydah, 25-year-old Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Saud al-Kabir, died, according to the Saudi Royal Court, “of thirst.” The head of Pakistan’s Air Force, Mushaf Ali Mir, was the last to go. He died, together with his wife and fifteen of his top aides, when his plane blew up — suspected as sabotage — in February 2003. Pakistan’s investigation of the explosion — if one was even done — has never been made public.

Remember that the Saudis are Bush's BFFs. Right after 911 he gave them all a "Get Out of Jail Free" card when ordinary Americans couldn't fly and they even grounded planes carrying transplant organs.
Let's recap this for the Moron-Americans. The 911 hijackings and subsequent crashing of the planes into the WTC towers, Pentagon, and a field here in PA were carried out by Saudis. Bush let more Saudis flee the country while an unknown number of transplant recipients died because the planes carrying their replacement organs were grounded.
Well, as they say,"You are known by the company you keep". Dosen't speak well for you republicans. This carries over to the current crop of flawed human beings that are running for the 2008 republican presidential nomination.

Ok, my head's starting to spin.

- Months ago Zubaydah was "a HUGE Queda asset" and a key player who we "had" to torture in order to get crucial information.

- Last week the news of his interrogation tapes being destroyed is followed by news that he was really an incompetent mental case and his needless torture yielded nothing but made-up stories.

- TODAY you tell us that Zubaydah really was a top level player and had direct support from Saudi royals and Pakistani military leaders, indirectly implicating possible complicity with certain families named after plants back here at home.

WELL, which IS it ??? I need to know which thing to look away from so I don't accidentally notice the truth, darnit.

Also obvious is that when they can't rebut the message republicans have to smear the messenger.

Hmmm, the congress has been pretty much under republican control since the 1994 mid-terms. And what did they do? Engage in massive corruption that make Ab-scam and the house banking scandal look down right penny-ante. Gweorge Bush has been occupying the White House since 2001 and wqhat did we get? 911, Katrina, the Iraq quagmire. What we haven't got was justice for the guy who master-minded 911. Respectfully, go pound sand, exhaustport wipe.

What are you talking about? Pelosi is speaker, last I checked, she has a D after her name.

Who do you think "masterminded" 9/11, bin Laden? I guess he had written the patriot act, and had it ready to go too. Stop listening to talking heads on the boobtube, and start running everything throught the "who benefits" filter till you learn some discernment.

Losing you to party squabbling is unfortunate. You may have something genuinely your own to add. You are currently carrying water for the powers that be. Fun to sing in the choir, till you find your own voice.

And has held that position for less than a year.
Unfortunately for America, Pelosi and Reid have been lacking in the leadership needed to set things to right.

Bush and his brigade of flying monkeys fell into a plie of poop of their own making and thanks to a compliant Old Media came up smelling like oil.
Bush was warned about the attacks and decided to stay on his faux ranch playing at cowboy. The only conspiracy the White House was involved in was getting the Old Media not to ask any damaging questions on how 911 was allowed to happen under the watch of the National Security party.
Had Al Gore been in the White House when 911 happened the republican controled congress would have impeached him.
As with the WTC towers collapse, it wasn't planted explosives it was structural failure. The cops who had working radios saw the walls starting to bulge out and ordered their men out. The firefighter's radios were junk and they didn't get the message so many died when the towers fell. Since Rudy was involved in the firefighters radio contract you didn't hear about it. Nature abhors a vacuum and in the lack of the truth about what happend conspiracy thoeries sprung up.
The Bush administration's failed lack of response finally drove home to the American public just how veneal they are. Why do you think his approval numbers are in the low thirties and falling.
