Protecting Giuliani

November 13th, 2007 9:09 pm · 7 comments

This one’s been linked a couple places, it’s amazing: Judith Regan, the book publisher (think O.J.’s “If I Did It”) who was fired by Rupert Mudoch’s News Corp. last year, has sued the company, saying - among other things - that:

a senior executive at the media conglomerate encouraged her to mislead federal investigators about her relationship with Bernard B. Kerik during his bid to become homeland security secretary in late 2004.

The lawsuit asserts that the News Corporation executive wanted to protect the presidential aspirations of former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, Mr. Kerik’s mentor, who had appointed him New York City police commissioner and had recommended him for the federal post.

This would be the parent company of Fox News - going out of its way to protect Rudy Giuliani and his shot at becoming president.

If it’s true. But is anyone going to seriously doubt that Fox News, News Corp., operates in this fundamentally biased sort of way? If CBS did this for, say, Barack Obama, the wingers would be foaming at the mouth (well, more than usual).

But when Fox does it, I guess they call it fair and balanced.

Faux Spews, CNN, CBS, AP and various assorted and sundry Old Media outlets have been pushing the Rudi narrative for some time now. All of them do it, its just matters of degree. They have made their choice of who the republican nominee will be and its Rudi.

Same as how they picked Hillary for the Dems? However, now they are getting scared because they are afraid she might not win in the general election. What a quandary!!

If you read and comprehended my posts on this forum you know that I stated that the Old Media has chosen the presidential contenders. It's Hillary for the Democratic Party and Rudi for republicans.
When the Old Media unleashes a constant barrage of "Candidates X, Y, and Zed haven't got a snowball's chance" it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Specially when that same pack of toadies and shills print or broadcast negative and disparging "news" about the other contenders. One only has to look at how the Old Media got George Bush elected in 2000.
