Fascist governments don't put troops in the streets...they work with corporations to make sure 'the wrong sort of people' do not have any economic power, and do not have anywhere to peddle their ideas.

Close to post of the year. Missed only a few tidbits like;
  1. our world's highest prison population
  2. Gov't turning it's head while agri-corps, the hospitality & construction industries depressed wages - then became rightously indignant at the exploited.
  3. Media consolodated to a select few corps, directing public opinion. Example: The high number of Pre-Iraq invasion protests overseas compared to the non-existance of them here.

How does one select the Best Post of the Year? Is there going to be a Poster's award show on MSNBC? I guess there could be nominees for catagories - like:

Best Anarchist Post

Best Depressed Democrat Post

Best Gay GOP Post

Best Talk Show Host crying in public post

Best " I'm promoting Daily Kos Spew" post

Best post about Whoopie getting moist over Nancy and Hubby.

Etc,etc.
