I bet this is a fun beat. Multi-gazillionaire Richard Mellon Scaife, funder of right-wing causes extraordinaire (to the extent that he makes George Soros look like a piker) is in the process of divorcing his wife, Margaret Ritchie Battle Scaife. And apparently it’s a little, um, contentious.

Scaife also happens to own the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, which competes with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. And so, quite naturally, the P-G is diving into the story, noting that a judge has issued a temporary order requiring Richard to pay “Ritchie” $725,000 per month - which might be a record for Pennsylvania.
