Ron Paul, still making sense

On last week’s debate:

My opponents called for more war, more torture, more secret prisons, more eavesdropping, more presidential power. Some seemed to identify the government and the people as if they were one entity. But you and I know that once the government moves beyond its very limited constitutional mandate, it is an opponent of the people.

Ron Paul is quite an intriguing story, in that there are people all over the political spectrum (Lancaster Online is one example) who are 'with' him. Why do you think that is? Too bad he seems to be the guy that the rest would most like to sweep under the rug.

You partly answered your own question. His own party is trying to hide his swelling grassroots appeal. That alone made me take a closer look. No one will be all things to all voters. I agree with many of the things he says he stands for. Not everything. He pulls no punches, and his voting record backs his statements. I plan to vote for him, even though I'll probably have to write it in, and I don't trust vote counting to begin with. His character is the only reason I'll bother to go through the motions. We deserve a man this good.

Don't "waste your vote" voting for who you think is going to win. This is slightly more important than a popularity contest.

Wish it were so, Whirlwind.

Nations get the leaders they deserve. How could it be any other way? I would love to see Ron Paul become our next president. Won't become reality however. Because nations get the leaders they deserve.

Does not mean I won't be voting for Ron Paul. Again. My write in vote in 2004. As has been the case for many years, next year will be no exception. Instead of a principled man of honor and integrity we will get a despicable individual. It might be Hillary, Barrack, Rudy, Romney or some other scum.

Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. We as a nation have taken our freedoms for granted. We as a nation have become complacent. We only have ourselves to blame.

So, it looks like more of the same for the U.S. of A. Endless war, less freedom, bigger government, higher taxes, and a lower standard of living.

Remember, nations get the leaders they deserve.

Too true, I stand corrected.

Sheep don't pick the shepherd.

Ron Paul is the man with ideas that could rectify much of what is wrong with our country. That is why I'll be voting for him.

Sheep, or citizen of the greatest country on Earth? I want this Nation to be redeemed and restored to it's rightful glory. All the other candidates are interested in taking us farther down the garden path, to our eventual loss of sovereignty.
