One of them, anyway. The one who most certainly won’t win the nomination.

Gil,

The Republicans must have a bigger tent than the other party, since I can't think of a single Democrat that has made much sense to me, at least not since Henry Jackson or Pat Moynahan left the scene.

The vast majority of Republicans make sense. So do the vast majority of Democrats. The problem is with the arrogant few who manipulate themselves into positions of influence and power, who are convinced that their way is the ONLY way without submitting to a reality check every now and then.

I'm a Democrat, and I certainly hope I make sense, at least some of the time. For comparison, look at ReaganRepublican, who almost always makes sense.

Please don't believe that the loudmouth few represent the majority of us.

This is why, as a Democrat, I'd vote for Ron Paul.

As I have said before, it does not matter whether a person is a demo or repub, if the person has ggot ideas, then what does it matter. All this demo and repub stuff is really getting old. There are good and bad repubs and demos. What I say ia lets get rid of the bad demos and repubs and get people in office that are going to help our State and nation. All this repub and demo fighting gets nothing accomplished. The demos and repubs that are constantly going back and forth at each other are doing nothing but making our country weaker. GET THEM OUT OF OFFICE.

The Dem vs. Repub bantering is the result of the "corporate hen" hatching eggs labeled R and D. They both come from the same mother and enjoy a spirited game of sibling rivalry to fool us into thinking they hate each other. Mother Hen is proud of her offspring and they learn their lessons well from her. Their only allegiance is to their corporate mother and no one else. They do put on a good show for the masses enjoying pecking their wallets and receiving loving attention. The key is watching where they roost at night...back in the hen house close to mother.

My pessimism says that eliminating the bad for good is lofty process since their is only one hen house that produces who we label different animals to throw people off as to their true identity. High School Civics perpetuates the myth of peeps are really good and serve mankind. This is the democracy lesson...of the peeps, by the peeps and obviously for the peeps. Somehow we turned over governing to the birds and should not complain when we are crapped on or step in their political dung.

So next time ya'll want to point the finger at the "R" peep or the "D" peep, remember who gave birth to them...The Corporate American Hen. And to think we keep spending money to feed them...what's wrong with this picture???

xcalibre,
This has been a hot topic of the demo debates & the yearlykos convention over the weekend.
Edwards & Obama blasted Hillary for accepting lobbyist donations. Both agreed not to take any corporate lobbyist money.

I vote for Ron Pauls over Hillary at this point (unless he picks Tancredo as his running mate)

Won't win the nomination? Don't be so sure. The other Republicans know Ron Paul is a huge threat, so he was deliberately excluded in the last debate. Major media outlets are quiet about his success and popularity to make it seem like he's not a possibility. Instead they push Rudy McRomney.

Check out this poll on who won the last debate, this isn't some wacko site, this is ABC News:

Didn't see the debate, but those are some pretty amazing results. Clear winner, Ron Paul (and yes, I'd vote for him), with Mitt as #2, nobody (voting democrat) as #3, Rudy #4, and nobody (waiting for Fred or Newt) as #5. VERY interesting! Nobody is in 2 of the top 5 spots!

The "nobody" vote is irrelevent. Those people are voting for HilBama no matter what.

Another interesting thing is that people on MySpace who had material on their profiles promoting Ron Paul, have gotten their accounts locked!

Could be irrelevant, but maybe not. The first nobody (vothing democrat) shows they are voting for a democrat no matter what, but the second nobody (waiting for Fred or Newt) shows that Republicans are not happy with their choices.

The jury is still out on if myspace is filtering Paul specifically, or if the post was caught by a spam filter. May be good to keep it in perspective.

so how come the war supporters do not refer to ron paul as one who would "cut and run"?

where is the consistency.

why isn't he a grave threat for wanting to get out of the fiasco in iaq asap??

just curious as to how a war supporter could vote for him.

Judging by the abc poll, 65% are for him, because he's the only one voicing opposition to the war.

I still don't agree with his opinion against the separation of church and state.

If his plan is to leave Iraq ASAP, then it is cut and run.

Seems that would be just compounding an error.

What did we do in Vietnam? Cut & Run. But it was not called that. It was known as "Peace With Honor". All we need is a term like that, might make it more palatable to the masses.

You mean more palatable to republicans? We Democrats, at least most of us, knew what would happen if Saddam was deposed. He double hockey stiks, Bush the Smarter knew it back in 1991.

That George Bush the Lesser was victorious in Iraq then pulled the troops out before the election , or was winning in Iraq until the Liberals stabbed him in the back will become a new republican true fact. Just like other republican true facts it dosen't matter what the reality is.

My job doesn't exclude me for my medical problems.

And you are so far off on your perception of me its funny.

Oh, and it seems to me this bible stuff is a inward reflection for yourself.

I criticize you for your stance on issues and for the statements you make. Your attacks seem purely personal. Why is that?
