Unaccountable

If the 26 percenters are interested in why so much of the country has turned against the Leader - and of course they aren’t interested, it’s the 74 percent who are wrong, they and the Leader who are unquestionably right - they might look no further than this, yet another former administration official telling Congress that no, they don’t have to answer any questions they don’t want to.

It’s almost like a roll call. Cheney insists the vice president’s office isn’t part of the executive branch. Abu Gonzales stonewalls. Harriet Miers and now Sara Taylor say they can’t discuss the prosecutor firings.

All of it paints a picture of an administration that believes itself entirely above the law, one with contempt for the mere idea of accountability. We’re talking about the Leader here, the Decider - he needs be accountable to no one but his instincts, the Will of the People. Or the 26 percenters who imagine themselves to represent the Will of the People.

WAAAHHHH. Why doesn't Bush get his advice from the public? They always know best.
