I’m melting, melting!

Chris Matthews inexplicably has Ann Coulter on Hardball. Elizabeth Edwards calls in, confronts Coulter for the things she’s printed about how the Edwards family “exploits” their dead son. Coulter whines; Edwards rips her a new one. Crowd applauds.

God bless America.

Gotcha journalism is gotcha journalism no matter who's the target. Tweety Matthews should have told Coulter before the segment that Elizabeth Edwards would be commenting.

Tweety must have his finger in the wind and noticed it's blowing toward the left and is hedging his bets. He and the other talkshow bobble heads usualy reserve the sandbagging for the liberal guests.

Coulter held her own, something the Democrats the DLC allows to appear on these "news" shows don't do well at all. But then Rahm Emmanual et al thought it wouldn't make any difference who the Senator from Connecticut would be, Joe or Ned.

No surprises, that's for sure.

When do you think that Matthews will have the Duke faculty confronted by the Duke Lacrosse team?

Or Al Sharpton confronted by Korean business owners?

Or John Edwards confronted by poor people about his 26,000 sq ft home, his $400 haircuts, or his use of a charity to advance his political career?

Or Hillary Clinton confronted by Juanita Broddrick, Paula Jones or Kathleen Willey?

That's right, it won't happen.

A few weeks ago I was watching Hardball when Matthews introduced Republican Governor Mike Huckabee as a "Presidential Wannabe."

Someone find a similiar slight for a Democrat presidential contender.

God bless America, biased journalism, and all its supporters.

So Ann Coulter represents balanced journalism?

Ann should take Henry Rollin's job offer. Even Wiffleball is giving her a dose of her own medicine. smile.gif

So Ann Coulter represents balanced journalism?

No. I never said she does.

Does Chris Matthews?

Since Coulter is a controversial figure, does that give Matthews carte blanche to conduct guerilla interviews?

If so, then where are similar interviews with Sharpton, et. al.?
