The gay bomb

This is hilarious, and can’t possibly be true. Except it seems to be.

Back in 1994 - Blame the Clenis! - military leaders actually appear to have investigated the possibility of building a bomb that turned enemy soldiers queer:

As part of a military effort to develop non-lethal weapons, the proposal suggested, “One distasteful but completely non-lethal example would be strong aphrodisiacs, especially if the chemical also caused homosexual behavior.”

The documents show the Air Force lab asked for $7.5 million to develop such a chemical weapon.

“The Ohio Air Force lab proposed that a bomb be developed that contained a chemical that would cause enemy soliders to become gay, and to have their units break down because all their soldiers became irresistably attractive to one another,” Hammond said after reviwing the documents.

Hmmm, maybe that explains Jeff Gannon

I think Gil has had this topic on his mind ever since I mentioned him wearing a pair of leather chaps to the McCaskey prom. So Gil, If the Chaps fit, wear em!

Hordes of enema soldiers?

I can see it now insurgents sneaking into our bedrooms at night to give us cowlicks and hat hair as we sleep.

Waking in the morning to find we've been redecorated into Colonial Levittown.

Then being rounded up and sent to spas by platoons of Villiage People.

I've got one that's simpler, cheaper and a hell of a lot more effective.

Dump strep on them. Not lethal if properly treated, makes you feel like you've been run over by a truck for a few days.
I figure I can develop a bomb for under a half million dollars.
I'll be generous, I'll split the remainder with my talkbacker friends. I keep 3.5 mil (after all, it was my idea) and the rest of the 3,500 or so members get $10,000 a piece.

Sound good?

$3.5 million is a joke and they would not take you seriously. That is not enough to even pay the lobbyist fee. Change it to $35 million and you may be in the running. Of course it would not hurt to take a congressman on an island vacation.

Well, at least they may be too occupied with one another to have a war, that and they will have nicer uniforms lol

To date they've spent 14.8 billion for an anti-dote and if you look around you'll see they've been unsuccessful smile.gif

Gil is starting to be like michael mooreon. It was proposed to the defense department by a weapons lab and was immediately rejected.

You couldn't come up with this a few weeks ago when I actually had strep throat?! You could've had the germs for free (well, minus my "finder's fee of course!). The worst part was not being able to swallow. Ouch!

colonial levittown? there was no levittown anywhere before the fifties. it was a planned community in response to troops coming home from WWII

A gay friend of mine who read about this online in a news story sent me this comment:

But what happens if the bomb were to accidentally detonate at an Army barracks in Oklahoma?

The 7000 pawn shops in Lawton, Oklahoma would finally sell out of disco balls and mid-century modern furniture.

(by the way, I think the "colonial Levittown" reference was a joke).

oh, i don't get it then.

i think that "Waking in the morning to find we've been redecorated like some sort of Colonial Levittown." would make more sense if it were a joke
