Cyclist dies on Covered Bridge Metric - updated

East Earl Township police late Tuesday afternoon identified the cyclist killed Sunday morning as Harold L. Hartzell, 61, of Manheim.

Turkey Hill race tomorrow

The 10th annual Turkey Hill Country Classic bicycle races will be held Saturday, beginning with the pro/elite level race at 10:20 a.m.
According to BikeReg.com, there are 375 riders pre-registered for the six different race categories. Same-day registration will be available to the master’s categories and the pro/elite race. Other categories are full.

Sauder Easter Egg, Mount Joy Road Race on Saturday

The Sauder Easter Egg recreational ride begins Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. at Lititz Spring Park, near the center of Lititz. Cyclists can do day-of registration for 10, 25 and 50 mile recreational rides. The cost to register is $22. Proceeds benefit the Lititz Fire Company. Pedal to Preserve registration opens

Registration has opened for the 2009 Pedal to Preserve ride. The fund-raising event for the Lancaster Farmland Trust will be held Saturday, June. There will be six-mile, 20-mile and 51-mile rides.
