A widely circulated Associated Press report this morning quoted an official with Momentum Sports Group, owner of the Health Net-Maxxis domestic professional team, confirming the company is negotiating with Lancaster County native Floyd Landis for his return to cycling.

Great day in Grandview

Bicycle racers came from across the mid-Atlantic and spectators came from inside their homes to the Grandview Grand Prix criterium race on Saturday. About 240 racers participated in the various categories that ranged from beginner to professional. About another 50 children competed in free kids’ races.

Tour of Pennsylvania sprints through Ephrata

The under-25 riders of the Tour of Pennsylvania tore through northern Lancaster County this morning on their way to Carlisle.
The Ephrata Review supplied this video of the six-day race’s first sprint, which occured at Main and State streets at the center of Ephrata.

Grandview Heights crit revived

Local bicycle racing team Spinners Cycling has stepped in to revive a second race that was cancelled earlier this month with the sudden demise of RedRoseRaces.com.
Spinners will revive the criterium race in Grandview Heights, now called the Grandview Grand Prix. Online registration for the July 26 race will open on Tuesday, June 24.

Large turn-out, fair weather in Mount Joy
