2008 Turkey Hill Country ClassicThe 10th annual Turkey Hill Country Classic bicycle races will be held Saturday, beginning with the pro/elite level race at 10:20 a.m.

According to BikeReg.com, there are 375 riders pre-registered for the six different race categories. Same-day registration will be available to the master’s categories and the pro/elite race. Other categories are full.

In addition to the bicycle races, there are five-kilometer and 10-kilometer running races and a five-kilometer walk, a baby derby and even a 100-yard cow race. And, there will be plenty of Turkey Hill ice cream, ice tea and drinks. Proceeds and donations from the event go the non-profit Lancaster Farmland Trust.
