Two women riding bicycles were severely injured when a man riding a motorcycle crossed the center line and ran into them on Tuesday evening in Brecknock Township, state police reported.
Adam Eugene Nolt, 21, of East Earl, was travelling west on Pleasant Valley Road at about 8:30 p.m. on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he rounded a left-hand curve and crossed into the on-coming lane. He then struck head-on the two unidentified women who were riding their bicycles east, Trooper Jerry Harper stated in a news release.
According to a report published in the Intelligencer Journal newspaper, the Bowmansville-area women, believed to be in their early 20s, may have been going home after attending a meeting at the nearby White Oak Mennonite School.
Nolt and the women were taken by helicopter to Reading Hospital for treatment of major injuries, the trooper reported. According to the newspaper account, the three were all listed in critical condition. The state police investigation into the crash is ongoing.
