Saying art imitates life in this case may be a bit of a stretch, but bike wear maker Primal Wear is - I would guess unknowingly - linking real life to the design of one of its jerseys.
The company’s Blue Ball Lanes bicycling jersey is on sale this week on the Performance website ($54.99 down from $59.99). The Denver, Colo. (not Denver, Pa.)company may not have been aware of the existence of the Lancaster County bowling alley, at 1214 Main St., Blue Ball.
The jersey is designed to look like a bowling team shirt. The name was likely chosen for the same sophomoric humor that has probably led to snickering from a generation of eastern Lancaster County boys. “Johnson” is written above the faux pocket on the front.
You might get a laugh pedaling the eastern end in this jersey - or the people there may not get the joke.
