Cycling Life in Lancaster County

Season’s first organized ride

February 8th, 2008 11:21 am · 0 comments

The first organized charity bicycle ride of the season will take place Saturday, March 22, in conjunction with the annual Sauder Easter Egg Run in Lititz.

The inclusion of a 10-mile and 25-mile bike rides is a new addition to the 16th annual event. Unfortunately, no information is available on the rides. The recently mailed brochure mentions the rides on the cover and inside only states that they will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The $18 advance registration cost - before March 14 - and the $22 registration afterward is for the rides, 5-mile run or walk. Along with participation, the registration fee also gets participants a T-shirt, omelets, fruit and water afterward.

The event is sponsored by Sauder Eggs, Green Mountain Cyclery and Tim’s Fitness Center. Proceeds will benefit the Lititz Fire Company. More information is supposed to be available at Sauder’s website. Clicking the link, however, will only show you the results of last year’s run and walk and pdf versions of the brochure.
