Specialized has posted holiday greetings on its website that will be music to the ears of all bike geeks.

Using only bicycle parts, Specialized has created it own rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker Suite.”

Engineers for the California-based bicycle company mixed the sounds of pedals, spokes, derailleur cables, freewheels, disc and caliper brakes, shifters and chains to imitate the music of a glockenspiel for the Christmas classic. A 10-speed cassette on a Roval wheel hub provide the visual.

The link is at specialized.com. The music is at specializednutcracker.mp3.
