Ride Christiana by computer, Pros to compete

August 10th, 2007 2:11 pm · 0 comments

Red Rose Races organizer Rich Ruoff has posted this weekend’s race courses on YouTube.

Ruoff’s http://redroseraces.com/ has links to Saturday’s 8.6-mile Tour de Christiana road course and Sunday’s 10.3-mile time trial course. Anyone interested in getting a peek at the course can do so from their computer.

Unfortunately for procrastinators, online registration closed Thursday. Interested riders can still register early Saturday morning on a first-come basis. None of the categories are closed.

Fortunately for spectators, the Pro/Cat 1,2,3 race should be fun to watch. The confirmed registration list shows 70 riders in that list, including Bobby Lea of the Toyota-United pro team and Mike Beers of the professional Rite Aid team. A second listed Rite Aid rider, Anibal Borrajo, may be Alejandro Barrajo, the Argentinian sprinter who took second in the Reading race in June among other honors this season.

That race starts at 11:05 a.m.
