According to the Lancaster Intelligencer Journal, Curtis Martin was the last of five friends riding single-file on the narrow road when he was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Martha Brennen, 56, of Reamstown.

Martin was pronounced dead at Lancaster General Hospital about one hour and 45 minutes later.

According to the police officer, Martin’s bike was equipped with a headlight and taillight. Brennen was not immediately charged with causing the accident.
