Before signing copies of his book, “Positively False,” at the Lancaster Barnes & Noble this evening, Tour de France winner and Lancaster County native Floyd Landis is spending the day in Montgomery County.
Landis was slated to lead a noon bicycle ride in Souderton, beginning at the Landis Supermarket, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Univest Grand Prix race. The race, organized by former racer and cycling commentator John Eustice, will be held Sept. 8.
Landis, a Farmersville native, was slated to hold a press conference before the ride and sign autographs afterward.
At 7 p.m., he is slated to be at the book store, in Red Rose Commons, on Fruitville Pike, to sign copies of his autobiography. The book was officially released Tuesday.
On Sunday, he will riding some of the roads of his youth, around Ephrata, on a 20-mile ride that will end at the Green Mountain Cyclery bike shop. That ride will be followed by a picnic at the bike shop. Tickets, at $20 each, are sold out.
