Floyd’s Ephrata event: This morning, Jen Farrington said there were about 40 tickets left for the Floyd Fairness Fund events at the Ephrata Performing Arts Center on March 25. She did not expect them to last until the end of the day. Apparently, Mike’s estimate of 70 left on Thursday was a low-ball. She said they have sold about 100 tickets a day for the past two days. The number for the Farrington’s at Green Mountain Cyclery is 859-2422.
Strasburg Road Race: Race organizer David Butterworth is not expected to announce for another few hours whether the Strasburg Road Race will be held on Saturday. At mid-afternoon, the snow is coming down heavy and the race is looking doubtful. The start of the season will likely be delayed until the Kirkwood Road Race, March 31.
Quote of the day: U.K.-based Bike Biz magazine, in an article about Floyd’s legal defense, entitled “Whose wee was it?,” quotes Tour de France for Dummiesco-author Sammarye Lewis riffing on Johnny Cochran.
“If the piss don’t fit, you got to acquit,” Lewis said.
