The Orange spent a lot of energy and emotion last week in a winnable game at home. And didn’t win. Hard to imagine them coming up, just a week later, with the kind of effort it would take to compete with this opponent at this venue.
Cuse can play defense a little, though. Minnesota didn’t get that much, and one of its TDs stemmed from a bad snap from the shotgun over Greg Paulus’ head. Cuse figures to sell out to stop the pass, and the Nits figure to try to force the running game a bit. Those elements - plus rain, perhaps - could keep the score down.
