OK, so Joe was in the now-infamous traffic incident. Road rage is subjective, but something did happen. (Yes, it only takes about three days for an incident to become infamous. That’s the hyper-speed media world we live in.)
There’s weirdness on both sides of this. On one hand, I can’t imagine that Joe gave anybody the […]

You have probably heard by now the rumor that Joe Paterno may have been involved in a road rage incident Friday on the Penn State campus that drew campus police.
There is a police report that suggests such an incident took place, but names of involved people were not released. So why are some saying Joe […]

I suspect the Yankees are going to dump Joe Torre for several reasons- Seven straight postseason failures and three straight first-round losses. The fact that viable successors - Don Mattingly, Joe Girardi - are out there. Torre’s been there 12 years; that might just be too long for anybody in that job.

Penn State spokesman Jeff Nelson said this morning that Scott, “would not dress for today’s […]

This game is about as compelling, given everything else that’s going on in sports, as reruns of “America’s got Talent.”
Both teams can pretty much forget this season with a loss. But Penn State is at home and has much better athletes.
The Lions get by.

Lots of questions Tuesday about Anthony Morelli. Lots of defending Morelli by Joe:
“No, I’m not considering a quarterback change. I think overall he played well. I think he’s got to get some more help. I think people have got to make some catches in the clutch. I think Anthony has to shake off some things. […]

Ode to joy

This will be seen, nationally, as more a Mets’ collapse than a Phillies’ triumph. That’s natural. Is 1964 remembered more for the Phillies losing or the Cardinals winning?
OK, but a couple of points:
1. If the Phillies’ had been reasonably healthy - not injury-free, just around the big-league average - they were clearly at least a […]
