JEFFREY REINHART is a sports writer for the Lancaster New Era. He has been on the staff at the New Era since 1999 and has written for Lancaster Newspapers since 1991. He is a Lancaster County native (Conestoga Valley grad) and he earned a journalism degree from Northeastern University in Boston (go Huskies!). He covers local sports (and dabbles with some pro sports from time to time) for the New Era, including the Lancaster-Lebanon League and three local colleges. His columns include Local Sports Special (features on local athletes who don’t always get a lot of ink) and All in the Family (a column about families that participate in local sports). Jeffrey is married (hello, Rebecca) and has a daughter (hello, Sarah). In 2006, Jeffrey received two second-place Keystone Awards for best sports event coverage and for best sports beat reporting.
