Breast Cancer Awareness Night

Really cool event to let you know about here …

On Tuesday, when Garden Spot hosts Conestoga Valley in a Lancaster-Lebanon League girls’ volleyball match, it will be Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Night in New Holland.

Garden Spot and CV are selling Dig Pink T-shirts to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There will also be a benefit between the JV and varsity matches to raise funds for breast cancer research, plus a silent auction during the match, which will feature the Spartans and the Buckskins wearing specially made pink uniforms for the event.

Breast cancer awareness is near and dear to Garden Spot coach Denny Werner and first-year CV coach Amber Thomas. Werner’s mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and Thomas’ mother lost her fight with cancer.

And Garden Spot educator Lisa Horning lost her battle with breast cancer this past summer.
