The Lancaster-Lebanon League Quarterback Club has announced its Players of the Week from Week 4.
And the honorees are …
SECTION 1
BACK OF THE WEEK – Manheim Township RB Brian Sourber carried 20 times for 80 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns, and he hauled in a TD catch in the Blue Streaks’ 50-6 romp over Reading.
LINEMAN OF THE WEEK – Penn Manor TE/LB Teon Lee was in on six total tackles (4 solo), forced fumble, recovered a fumble – and returned it to the 1-yard-line – knocked down a pass and picked off a pass and returned it for a touchdown in the Comets’ 34-6 win over Hempfield. Lee also had a high blocking grade from his TE spot.
SECTION 2
BACK OF THE WEEK – Elizabethtown RB/DB Brendan Kain rushed for 80 yards and had three rushing touchdowns on offense, and he made seven solo stops and assisted on three other tackles and broke up a pair of passes in the Bears’ 28-14 triumph over Solanco.
LINEMAN OF THE WEEK – Lebanon OL/DL Arthur Doakes had 13 knockdown blocks and a high blocking grade on O, and he had five tackles for a loss, a sack and a QB hurry on D in the Cedars’ 16-0 win over Ephrata.
SECTION 3
CO-BACK OF THE WEEK – Annville-Cleona RB Rickey Snyder carried 36 times for a school-record 328 yards and he scored a school-record six touchdowns in the Dutchmen’s 53-32 win over Pequea Valley. Snyder also had two returns for 70 yards in special teams.
CO-BACK OF THE WEEK – Elco’s Arron Achey completed 11-of-14 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns, and he had 14 keepers for 206 yards and a pair of scores rushing on O, and on D he had 2 ½ sacks, 11 solo tackles and six assisted tackles in the Raiders’ 41-7 win over Northern Lebanon.
LINEMAN OF THE WEEK – Elco C/DL Matt Logan had a high blocking grade for an offense that cranked out 485 yards, and on D he made four solo tackles, assisted on three others and had a sack in the Raiders’ 41-7 win over Northern Lebanon.
