Comets’ senior signal caller chats about 4-0 start
Fantastic start for Penn Manor, which improved to 4-0 overall and won its L-L League Section 1 opener last Friday night compliments of a 34-6 victory over Hempfield in Millersville.
Super impressed so far with the play of senior QB P.J. Rehm, who has been ultra efficient in Penn Manor’s spread option attack.
Coming into the Hempfield game, Rehm was the second-ranked passer in the league (and had a league-best 9 TD passes through three weeks), and while he only completed one pass against the Black Knights, he rushed for more than 120 yards, including an 8-yard TD keeper, and he helped Penn Manor capitalize time and time again with short fields after Hempfield turned the ball over six times.
I caught up with Mr. Rehm after the win, and we chatted about Penn Manor’s quick 4-0 start, about all the success swirling around the Comets’ program, and about where Penn Manor goes from here.
