Barons coach sets up Friday’s showdown vs. Lancaster Catholic

He has won more football games than any coach in District 3 history.

He has guided his team to 15 District 3 championships.

He has guided his team to a pair of state-championship appearances, and won the Triple-A state crown in 2003.

He is Mike Williams, and he has coached in a million big games.

Make that a million and one.

You can file Friday’s Manheim Central at Lancaster Catholic non-league matchup under monster games.

Both teams are 2-0. Both teams are ranked in the top five in the state. Both teams went to District 3 title games last fall. And both teams return plenty of talent from last year – when Catholic beat Central 21-8 in Manheim.

The atmosphere should be electric.
