Lebanon and Elco will square off in the Bologna Bowl football game Friday night at 7 in Myerstown.
And in a joint effort between the programs, the game will double as Autism Awareness Night in Elco’s stadium.
Lebanon coach Gerry Yonchiuk and Elco coach Mark Evans are asking that all fans in attendance where white, and both schools are selling white t-shirts to mark the occasion.
Proceeds from the t-shirt sales will go to various Autism associations. Tom Garman of United Stitches donated the printing costs for the t-shirts, which cost $8 a piece.
T-shirts are for sale at Lebanon High School and at Elco High School, and they will also be for sale Friday night in Elco’s stadium, which will also host an Autism fair during the game. The fair will include Autistic organizations providing support and programs to parents of Autistic children.
Evans said the goal is to sell at least 1,200 “White Out” t-shirts, again, with all proceeds going to Autism associations.
