Barons’ football coach chats about Dakota Royer’s decision to pick Penn State

Getting used to college recruiters poking around Manheim Central has become old hat for Barons’ football coach Mike Williams.

On Thursday, another one of Williams’ athletes made his college choice official when rising senior blue-chipper Dakota Royer stepped up to the podium inside the high school’s lobby and slipped a Penn State cap on.

I caught up with Coach Williams after the press conference and we chatted about Royer’s recruiting trail, what it’s like dealing with college recruiters, about Royer’s freakish skills and what he’ll bring not only to Penn State, but to Central’s team this fall.
