Girls’ soccer switches to fall in 2010-2011

July 24th, 2009 9:44 pm · 0 comments

According to this report, PIAA girls’ soccer is in for a major change.

Beginning with the 2010-2011 school year, girls’ soccer will be played in the fall - which could cause some major conflicts with field hockey.

It also means that after the 2010 season is completed next spring, girls’ soccer teams will turn around and play another full season later that fall.

The L-L League has produced the last two PIAA Double-A state champs - Lancaster Mennonite in 2008 and Donegal in 2009.

Stay tuned for the fallout.
