PIAA boys’ and girls’ lacrosse update

There are three (3) Lancaster-Lebanon League lacrosse teams still toiling in the state playoffs – two from one school.

Manheim Township’s girls’ and boys’ teams are still standing in the PIAA playoffs, and they’ll play a double-dip in state quarterfinal action on Saturday.

And Hempfield’s girls’ team is still plugging right along in the PIAA bracket.

Here’s the schedule …

BOYS

District 3 champ Manheim Township vs. District 7 champ Mount Lebanon, Saturday, 4 p.m. @ Memorial Stadium, State College.

Winner gets: District 1 runner-up Downingtown East or District 12 champ LaSalle College in state semifinals next Tuesday.

Saturday’s other quarterfinals: District 1 champ Conestoga vs. District 11 champ Emmaus; District 1 third-place Springfield (Delco) vs. District 3 third-place Carlisle.

State final: Saturday, June 6, 2 p.m. @ Hersheypark Stadium.

GIRLS

District 3 champ Manheim Township vs. District 7 champ Peters Township, Saturday, 2 p.m. @ Memorial Stadium, State College.

Winner gets: District 1 runner-up Radnor or District 12 champ Archbishop Carroll in state semifinals next Tuesday.

District 3 third-place Hempfield vs. District 1 third-place Strath Haven, Saturday, 1 p.m. @ Exeter High School.

Winner gets: District 1 champ Springfield (Delco) or District 1 fifth-place Unionville in state semifinals next Tuesday.

State final: Saturday, June 6, noon @ Hersheypark Stadium.
